New to pet sitting?  What is a pet sitter?

A pet sitter is someone who cares for your pets in your home, giving them attention, individualized care and lots of TLC. Your pet will be taken care of by someone who has your pets best interest in mind.  Here are some nice features with these services:

Advantages for your pet:
bullet Reduced stress:  Your pet stays in its own familiar environment where all the sights, smells and sounds say home!
bullet Diet & Exercise:  Customary diet  and exercise routines are followed , with no interruption to upset your pet.
bullet No Travel Trauma:  Travel in a vehicle to a relative's home, a boarding facility or kennel may upset your pet.
bullet Health Concerns:  With a pet sitter, there is minimal exposure to illness of other animals.
bullet Tender Loving Care:  Most importantly, your pet receives individualized love and personal attention, lots of TLC while you are away.
bullet Your pet care routine:  We follow as closely as possible, including feeding, watering, exercising and administering medication your pet might require.
Advantages for you:
bullet Travel:  You won't be inconvenienced or upset by transporting your pet.
bullet No Imposition:  You don't have to impose on a friend, neighbor, or relative to care for your pet.  Instead, you can rely on a pet care professional who will put your pet's needs first.
bullet Security:  Your home is made secure by the crime deterrent services provided.  We provide basic home care services while you are gone, such as bringing in the mail, newspapers, packages, watering plants, alternating lights, adjusting blinds and setting out or taking in the garbage.
bullet Peace of Mind:  While you are away, you can feel more confident your pet is in capable, caring hands.

What does the initial meeting entail?

A pet sitter will come for a visit to your home for an initial "interview" - to meet you and your pet(s).  At this time we will go over what all is needed, become familiar with your home/routine, and discuss all pertinent information about your pet's needs. At this time a key will be picked up.

How long is each visit?

Standard visits are 20-30 minutes in length, and are accompanied with a Daily Log form that logs the time in/out, the services performed and any comments we think you might find interesting or informative about your pet's behavior.

Will you board my pet(s) in your home?

My Pet Nanny does do private boarding.  You must show proof that your pets are current on all shots, your pets must be people/children friendly and animal friendly.

However, we limit the number of pets in our home at any one time.  If we don't have boarding available for you at the time of your needing services, we will offer you pet sitting services at your home.
