Scottsdale, AZ Coppercloud Ranch Pet Rescue - Coppercloud Pet Rescue is a outgoing-based rescue that removes animals from the county shelters that are scheduled to be put to death and finds compatible, loving homes. This summer season is going to be a tragic one pet-wise. The shelters are already filling up with hundreds of dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. (I know this because I volunteer there.) There is not room for all of them and adoptions drop way down in the summertime. Anywhere from 60 to 100 animals a day are killed here in PHX because of reasons like lack of spay and neutering, backyard breeders who are only in it for the money (don't care what happens to the pet after it's sold), people who don't care enough to come looking for their pets, no ID on animals and just plain ignorance about pet overpopulation. 06/06
