Don't forget to check your local shelter.  They do get a variety of small critters in that need a loving home.  Also, ask if you can have your name put on a list to give you a call if any arrive at the shelter for you to adopt.

Cavy Care Inc. Guinea Pig Shelter - Because typically guinea pigs are bought from local stores at 4 weeks old and at six to twelve months old the kids have lost interest in them and the parents are not prepared to be responsible for the guinea pigs after that point.  So they are dumped into local animal shelter. At these shelters they sit because no one thinks to look for them there. And they often face euthanasia.  That is why our organization was created.  Primary Shelter is by appointment only!
