Waterbury, CT Paws and Noses Rescue - is a small nonprofit rescue dedicated to helping young pups find forever homes. Many pups are rescued from overcrowded shelters with high rates of euthanasia in West Virginia and transported north by CUR(canine underground railroad) runs. The pups are then vetted and evaluated. Dogs are fostered as family members in our homes.

Forgotten Felines - is a charitable, non-profit organization with a mission to stop the proliferation of homeless cats living hard lives and struggling to find food and shelter on the streets of our local communities.  At our no-kill shelter, we provide nutritious food, warm beds and expert care to as many cats as possible with the goal of finding them permanent, loving homes. Catales, Inc Connecticut Association To Assure Love & End Suffering - Staffed only by volunteers, C.A.T.A.L.E.S. has been extremely busy (adopting, fostering, trapping, etc.) since its inception in December 1998. Shelter Friends Rescue - Shelter Friends Rescue's purpose is to save special dogs in kill shelters from being euthanized. Breed OrderDog rescue groups are in breed order from this point down.  If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for.  Most likely, somebody will be able to help you.  Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in.  So tell them, what your looking for and see if they can find that breed through their network of connections.  

Afghan Hound Rescue of New England  - We are a non-profit organization.  We service CT, ME, MA, NH, RI and VT.  

New England Airedale Rescue - we find homes for Airedales whose previous homes have disappeared.  

Alaskan Malamute Rescue of New England - is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for homeless Alaskan Malamute dogs.AMRONE serves Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

American Eskimo Dog Rescue, Inc - We are an all-volunteer nationwide American Eskimo dog rescue organization with chapters in many states throughout the country, and we are always adding more. Australian Cattle Dog Rescue Association - ACDRA helps with rescue ONLY in the Mid-and North-Atlantic regions of the US - that includes the area from North Carolina north through Maine.

Cocker Spaniel Rescue of New England - CSRNE, Inc. (CSRNE) is one of the oldest and largest cocker rescue groups in the country. It is a non-profit organization composed of volunteers throughout New England dedicated to rescuing and placing homeless cockers.

Collie Rescue League of New England - We are a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing any pure-bred Collie in need of a home. We rely on foster homes throughout New England to care for our Collies.

Rescue Me Yorkie Rescue - We are a non-profit organization who NEEDS YOUR HELP!   Many of our dogs come out of shelters after sitting on death row because they are 10 years old and considered too old to take up space. Others are found wandering as strays just looking for a warm place to sleep and food to eat.  Pet store puppies come from puppymills and irresponsible breeders.
