These rescuers rescue and have adoptions for more than one type of animal, such as cats & dogs or all animal rescues etc.. Help save a life, adopt a pet!!

Safe Harbor - Safe Harbor for Pets currently holds adoptions every Saturday and Sunday at the Shawnee, KS Petsmart on Shawnee Mission Parkway at 435. Dogs, not part of the Prison Dog Program, will be available for adoption on Sundays. Please go to our Prison Dog website for info on Prison Dog adoption events.

Friends of Animals Inc - Most of the animals on our site are located at the Junction City Animal Shelter, as well as some listings from the community at large. Any dog or cat located at the animal shelter will have a $26 adoption fee, which covers the adoption fee and the vaccinations provided at the shelter.

Pals Animal Rescue - PALS is an organization of volunteers who place animals into qualified homes. Most of the animals are rescued from the WICHITA ANIMAL SHELTER. Many of these animals would have been euthanized without help from PALS. We, also, help a limited number of animals from private individuals who, due to hardships, can no longer care for their pets. Breed Order: Dog rescue groups are in breed order from this point down. If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for. Most likely, somebody will be able to help you. Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in. So tell them, what your looking for and see if they can find that breed through their network of connections.

Okie Dokie Cocker Spaniel Rescue - Most of our rescue dogs come from shelters before they are euthanized. We have foster homes in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Grove, Oklahoma as well as Kansas City and Springfield, Missouri! All of our "kids" are in foster homes. Volunteers and Foster homes needed!!

Pueblo Collie/Sheltie Rescue - We are always seeking foster homes (esp. in Pueblo, Fremont and El Paso Counties). We also always need transport help and other volunteers. Heart of America English Bulldog Club Rescue - With the help of club members we rescue bulldogs at the animal shelters from being euthanized and find good homes for them. Our club works with animal shelters and veterinarians from all over the heartland.

English Bulldog Rescue and Adoption - The Bulldog Club of America Rescue Network (BCARN) has volunteers working throughout the US and some in Canada.

German Wirehaired Pointers Rescue - GWP Rescue, Inc. is a not for profit 501(c)3 organization based out of Olathe, Kansas. GWP's need human companionship, they do not do well as kennel dogs or left outside for long periods of time without their owners. Many of these dogs were discarded because they wouldn't hunt. You cannot expect any of them to be hunters. We adopt them out as pets and IF they hunt, that is a bonus. We are always in need volunteers to help in the rescue efforts of these special dogs.

Westie Rescue of Missouri - is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation licensed by the State of Missouri and the State of Illinois to provide rescue, fostering, medical, and adoption services for abused, abandoned, neglected, and/or homeless West Highland White Terriers. Volunteers and donations are always welcome and needed and are tax deductible. Currently Westie Rescue of Missouri is in need of new fosters homes nationwide. Don't forget to check your local shelter. They do get a variety of small critters in that need a loving home. Also, ask if you can have your name put on a list to give you a call if any arrive at the shelter for you to adopt.
