If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for. Most likely, somebody will be able to help you. Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in. Peke N Chin Midwest - Peke N Chin Midwest was founded after a need was realized here in the State of MN and surrounding states. This was discovered by accident. Heidi Ludwig was attending a dog auction in Wheaton, Missouri in hopes of rescuing some Japanese Chin and getting them out of the cycle of puppy mill abuse for a National Japanese Chin rescue group. Chicken Run Rescue - Every year, domestic fowl, mostly chickens, are impounded by Minneapolis Animal Control (MAC). Jack Pine Guinea Pig Rescue - I am now retiring (pretty much) in hopes of attending to other aspects of my life that have been sorely neglected. Jack Pine Guinea Pig Rescue will become more of a guinea pig sanctuary rather than an active rescue.

Paula's Pigdom Guinea Pig Rescue - We are an "in home" rescue that will take in guinea pigs in need (mainly from shelters and animal control as they are in jeopardy of being euthanized), and find them an ideal home to live out their lives in. We are currently full, plum full and have plenty of guinea pigs in need of homes.
