Bird Adoption Groups  - BirdAdoption.org - Bird Adoption - Adopt a parrot or another captive bird instead of contributing to the homeless bird problem by buying from a breeder. Educate yourself on proper bird care BEFORE adopting a bird. They make difficult, demanding 'pets' because they are wild animals!

Breed Order: Dog rescue groups are in breed order from this point down.  If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for.  Most likely, somebody will be able to help you.  Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in.  So tell them, what your looking for and see if they can find that breed through their network of connections.

Companion Golden Retriever Rescue - We work to place loving Golden Retrievers into permanent homes. Southern Star Miniature Pincher Rescue, Inc   - Southern Star MinPin Rescue, Inc. (SSMPR) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of Miniature Pinschers (minpins) of all ages. Upon entering our care, each Miniature Pincher is evaluated for general health and updated on vaccinations. After the Miniature Pinscher is restored to good physical and emotional health and spayed or neutered the search begins for the best and most appropriate home.  We service AR, ID, KY, LA, MI, MO, MT, NC, NM, OH, OR, SC, TX, UT, WA and Canada.

Peke N Chin Midwest  - Peke N Chin Midwest was founded after a need was realized here in the State of MN and surrounding states. This was discovered by accident. Heidi Ludwig was attending a dog auction in Wheaton, Missouri in hopes of rescuing some Japanese Chin and getting them out of the cycle of puppy mill abuse for a National Japanese Chin rescue group. Due to the far reach of our fosters & volunteers we are now known as Peke N Chin Midwest with volunteers in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota!  We do not have a physical location but rather a collection of foster homes. If you are interested in becoming a foster home for us and working with Pekingese and/or Japanese Chin please contact us.  If you would like to become a Foster Home, please contact us.
