Better Dog Network &  Humane Society  - The Better Dog Network and Humane Society is a non-profit organization working to connect people and pets.  

Moorhead, MN  Adopt-A-Pet Fargo-Moorhead - Adopt-A-Pet of Fargo-Moorhead is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.  It is a completely volunteer-run, local animal organization with the primary goal of placing rescued pets in loving and responsible homes.  Adopt-A-Pet has NO shelter.  Address:  P.O. Birds - Avian Rescuers    

Bird Adoption Groups  - BirdAdoption.org - Bird Adoption - Adopt a parrot or another captive bird instead of contributing to the homeless bird problem by buying from a breeder. Educate yourself on proper bird care BEFORE adopting a bird. They make difficult, demanding 'pets' because they are wild animals!  

CARE Center for Rescue, Adoption, Care and Education  - a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation.  Our mission to find suitable adoptive homes for these birds is taken quite seriously. Fostering is a wonderful way to decide if a certain type of bird is right for you and your family, without having to make an adoption commitment first.

Breed Order: Dog rescue groups are in breed order from this point down.  If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for.  Most likely, somebody will be able to help you.  Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in.  So tell them, what your looking for and see if they can find that breed through their network of connections.  You may also try our Dog Breed Rescue page.  

MinnKota Alaskan Malamute Rescue - We help Malamutes that are in need in the North Dakota and Minnesota area.  We are in need of volunteers and foster homes. Friends of Rescued Mastiffs, Inc   -  Friends of Rescued Mastiffs, Inc. (FORM) Rescue & Placement Service is available to provide re-homing services to purebred Mastiffs. Peke N Chin Midwest  - Peke N Chin Midwest was founded after a need was realized here in the State of MN and surrounding states. This was discovered by accident. Heidi Ludwig was attending a dog auction in Wheaton, Missouri in hopes of rescuing some Japanese Chin and getting them out of the cycle of puppy mill abuse for a National Japanese Chin rescue group. Due to the far reach of our fosters & volunteers we are now known as Peke N Chin Midwest with volunteers in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota!  We do not have a physical location but rather a collection of foster homes. Ratbone Rescue - Ratbone Rescues is a rescue group dedicated to helping Rat Terriers in need.  Ratbone Rescues has dogs in foster homes all over the United States. We even have some in Canada.
