Friends of Homeless Animals - Located in Northern Virginia, Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) has been serving the Washington metropolitan area since 1973. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill shelter dedicated to saving abandoned and abused dogs and cats. We provide rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, and adoption services in the Northern Virginia and Washington, DC metropolitan areas.  

The Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation - The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, is a highly dedicated group of volunteers that rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations.

Paws for a Cause - Paws for a Cause, Inc, is a newly formed, sec.501(c) (3) non-profit-No Kill sanctuary. We have been rescuing, spaying, neutering, and providing a home for countless animals for over 20 years.  We  presently care for 39+ previously homeless dogs and cats, with little assistance from "outside" sources except for the Grace of God..  I started listening to people who told me to "follow my dreams" and create a Sanctuary that represents my commitment to a NO KILL NATION? This is my calling-This is my life's work.. ."

Pet Haven Rescue Center - The Pet Haven provides a temporary home for animals that have been transferred from high kill shelters until we can find loving, permanent homes for them.  As we are unable to keep and find homes in our area for the majority of the animals that we do take in, we have to turn to other rescues to help us out.

Arlington, VA Homeward Trails Animal Rescue - is a non-profit animal rescue organization based in Arlington, VA, with foster homes throughout VA, MD and DC. Ceres, VA  Lost Fantasy Stables and Animal Rescue, Inc - We are a completely volunteer rescue that works with the rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary of horses and hybrid wolves. We will accept other farm animals and exotics into our programs. Christiansburg, VA Virginia Partnership for Animal Welfare and Support - VA Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization, established in 1998. Louisa, VA Spay & Neuter All Pets - SNAP was founded in 1995 to help put an end to pet overpopulation in Louisa, VA. Our chief activity is raising funds to subsidize spay/neuter for pets of low-income families in our county. Pennington Gap, VA  Lee Animal Rescue League - Please note that this website is done by volunteer ONLY. Some of the animals listed are animals that are at the Lee County Dog Pound.
