Progressive Animal Welfare Society - PAWS was founded by a small group of dedicated women in 1967. The founders of PAWS were concerned about the terrible tragedy of euthanasia at our nation's shelters. They believed that the best way to prevent the killing of animals in shelters was to encourage spaying and neutering.

Cascade Animal Protection Society - is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicate to saving the lives of homeless, injured, and unwanted animals in the Puget Sound area. CAPS is a NO KILL organization, we do not euthanize healthy animals; rather they remain in our care until a good home can be found.

If you don't find the breed you are looking for, try contacting several of the rescue groups and animal shelters and ask them where you can find the breed you are looking for. Most likely, somebody will be able to help you. Some rescues will rescue other breeds other than what they specialize in.
